Individuals 50+ are healthier and better educated than any previous generation - the wisdom, experience, talents, and skills of this age group will change the face of volunteerism. Leadership Richmond – Next engages retired and soon-to-be retired volunteers in meaningful projects that capitalize on their skills and match their interests. This program also helps non-profit organizations attract and engage the “baby boomer” population in meaningful volunteer work that will help them improve the delivery of their programs and services.
Leadership Richmond – Next provides training for newly retired or soon-to-retire Next volunteer (50+) on the social enterprise model. Teams of trained volunteers are matched with Richmond non-profit organizations to provide support and guidance in the feasibility of starting a social enterprise. The work of the Next teams may include: readiness assessments, feasibility studies, strategic plans, business plans and/or implementation plans.
If you are looking for a volunteer opportunity you can customize to match your interests, utilize your talents and put your professional experience to use, then Leadership Richmond - Next is for you.
Leadership Richmond – Next is a program supported by Coast Capital Savings and developed with funding from the Government of Canada’s New Horizons for Seniors Initiative.
