It wasn’t supposed to be a pleasant day. It was supposed to be windy and rainy. It was supposed to be miserable. But for the 2nd Annual Richmond Christmas Fund Drive-Thru Event, held at Lansdowne Centre on Thursday, November 29, the weather proved to be better than expected. It was fitting, considering that the event itself exceeded even the most optimistic of expectations.

The service, by which volunteers bring fresh produce, baked goods, and other groceries directly to seniors’ homes, is available to clients who require more assistance than offered by other delivery methods. Volunteers, for example, might help clients put groceries away.
