Volunteer Richmond Information Services’ Volunteers Are Stars Awards celebrate the tremendous contribution made each and every day by thousands of volunteers in the Richmond community. They create a legacy of volunteerism and showcase the voluntary efforts of countless individuals and groups. Recognizing specific individuals or organizations, these awards also focus public attention on the broad spectrum of voluntary service and community participation that sustains the vibrant and caring community in which we live.
There are five categories of awards and any individual, organization, association or corporation whose voluntary, unpaid efforts have impact in the Richmond community may be nominated. All persons and organizations are encouraged to submit nominations for consideration and all nominees will receive a certificate of nomination.
