Richmond Auto Mall's Windows of Hope

In 2010, the Richmond Auto Mall's Windows of Hope event raised $16,000 for the Richmond Christmas Fund. It was the largest total in the fundraiser's history. That is, until this year.

On the evening of November 22, teams of volunteers descended on the Auto Mall, paintbrushes in hand. They were tasked with painting the windows of car dealerships with a holiday theme. As the night progressed, the Auto Mall was transformed, slowly but surely, into a Christmas wonderland.

The volunteers - local businesses, community groups, and sports teams were all represented - had a wonderful time, and even received gift bags for their efforts (not to mention a pizza dinner and all the Murchie's cookies they could eat). But it was the Christmas Fund that received the biggest gift of the evening: a $20,000 donation from the Richmond Auto Mall Association.

From all of us at the Christmas Fund, we'd like to thank the car dealerships and other businesses who call the Auto Mall home for their tremendous generosity. Because of them, we're able to make holiday wishes come true for families in need.

The Auto Mall will remain decorated throughout the holiday season, and the public is more than welcome to visit. In the meantime, we've compiled some photos from the Windows of Hope event below. Enjoy!
